PHOTOGRAPHS AND NOTES ON FLUTE TUBES
The above photograph shows two silver flute body tubes. The upper one
is an old Rudall Carte body tube which used to be the Flute Maker's own
flute - made himself when he worked for Rudall Carte.. He now uses one
of his own flutes, and the lower tube is a tube with no holes yet drilled
in it. It does have the maker's name and flute number encgraved on the
tube.
Photographed in the workshop of UK Flutemaker Ewen
McDougall of Ravensworth.
